Day 1

Content Thinking Lab

Think Like a Creator

What kids learn

  • What is content? Consuming vs. creating
  • Audience thinking: purpose, message, and impact
  • Anatomy of great content - what makes it work
  • Storytelling framework: Hook → Story → Payoff
  • Content formats: photo stories, short videos, reels, visual posts
  • Ideation techniques: brainstorming, mind-mapping, concept boards
  • Introduction to visual language: composition, colour, framing

Activities

  • Content decoding - analysing real-world examples as a team
  • Reverse-engineering great content: "What makes this work?"
  • Team brainstorming and concept selection
  • Creating a content plan: format, story arc, visual approach, shot list
  • Storyboarding and scripting the content piece
  • On-camera confidence warm-ups and expression exercises
  • Team role assignment: Director, Photographer, Writer, Presenter

Outcome

Each team has a clear content concept with storyboard, shot list, and production plan ready for Day 2

Capture & Create Studio

From Plan to Production

What kids learn

  • Camera basics: framing, composition, angles, stability
  • Photography for content: hero shots, behind-the-scenes, details
  • Video shooting: camera movements, transitions, scene coverage
  • On-camera presence: speaking, hosting, presenting naturally
  • Sound awareness: voice clarity, ambient sound, music
  • Writing for content: captions, titles, hooks, call-to-actions
  • Visual design thinking: layout, colour, and text placement

Activities

  • Guided photography practice - angles, light, composition
  • Guided video shooting practice - movements, framing, scenes
  • Team-based content shoots per storyboard
  • On-camera recording: introductions, voiceovers, hosting segments
  • Writing session: captions, titles, story text, and hooks
  • Quick review and re-shoot cycles with mentor feedback

Outcome

All raw material captured - photos, video footage, voiceovers, scripts - teams ready for Day 3

Day 3

Build Jam: Content Premiere

Create. Build. Premiere.

What kids learn

  • Editing and sequencing: photos, clips, text, transitions
  • Adding titles, captions, graphics, and music
  • Writing the content description and presentation script
  • Designing layout and visual flow of the content piece
  • Mentor-guided refinement and final polishing

Activities

  • Build Jam Sprint - high-energy creation session
  • Content Premiere - teams present finished projects
  • Team explains creative journey: concept, choices, challenges
  • Peer appreciation and constructive feedback
  • Certificate distribution and parent showcase
